Electrical & Electronic Division - D24:
The objective of the Electrical & Electronic Division shall be to encourage growth and dissemination of specialized scientific and engineering knowledge relating to utilization of polymers and plastics in electrical and electronic components and systems. This can be accomplished through technical meetings, educational efforts, and Division publications. The fields of interest of the Division will include those materials, techniques, properties, and tests appropriate to electrical and electronic specialties.

Engineering Properties & Structure Division - D26:
The purpose of the Engineering Properties & Structure Division is threefold:
Stimulate the investigation and understanding of the engineering properties of plastics and their relationships to composition, structure, and processing variables. Foster technical activities on uniform testing and reporting of plastics properties. Encourage the proper application of property data.

Extrusion Division - D22:
It is the purpose of the Extrusion Division of SPE to advance the technical body of knowledge in the field of plastics extrusion industry as a whole. This will be done by study within the Division, by conducting seminars at all levels of proficiency, by promoting extrusion technical activities at the local levels of the Society, and by publishing plastics extrusion technical information which otherwise might not be disseminated.

Flexible Packaging Division-in-Formation - D44:
The Flexible Packaging Division strives to provide, with clear focus and good repute, an industry-recognized forum that facilitates the timely exchange of technical knowledge and business information in the market-driven, fast-evolving, multi-disciplinary field that encompasses the arts and the sciences of production and processing of plastic materials, fabrication and conversion of films and sheets, and enclosure and protection of goods in end-uses.

Injection Molding Division - D23:
To encourage the development, coordination and dissemination of engineering knowledge and technical information on injection and rotational molding. To foster the education of people for the purpose of implementing the above objective.

Marketing & Management Division - D37:
To broaden the understanding of technical marketing and management in the area of polymeric materials, products and equipment, as it relates to need determination, long range planning, business strategies, market research, international opportunities, competitiveness, organization effectiveness, sales and distribution. Activities include seminars, technical meetings, newsletters and conferences at national, regional and local levels.

Medical Plastics Division - D36:
To encourage the interchange of technical and regulatory information on the polymer materials/components used in medical devices and in device containers among the scientists and engineers who are working in medical device and related industries.

Mold Making & Mold Design Division - D35:
To foster growth in the moldmaking and design profession by encouraging the training of moldmakers at the apprentice level, and by supporting the continuing development of established moldmakers by gathering and exchanging information on materials and mold performance.

Plastics Environmental Division - D40:
This Division is concerned with all aspects of the recycling, reclamation, resource recovery, and disposal of plastic materials. Its mission is to foster the advancement of technology in the development of recycled plastics as a valuable raw-material resource. To this end, the Division will promote public and member education on plastics recycling through the coordination and dissemination of technical information via local, regional, national and international sessions and conferences, publications, and interaction with other interested national, international, academic and industrial organizations.

Polymer Analysis Division - D33:
The objective of the Polymer Analysis Division will be to promote the development and exchange of skills and knowledge in the analysis and characterization of polymers. Our main effort will be to set up Division activities and to promote our membership to play an active role.

Polymer Modifiers & Additives Division - D38:
To stimulate and encourage a continuing interchange of information relating to polymer modification and to the role(s) of modifying agents and additives in polymeric compositions.

Product Design & Development Division - D41:
The objective of the Product Design & Development Division is the continual improvement in the quality of the design and development of plastic products. That ongoing goal will be achieved by providing a forum for designers, their suppliers, customers and educators to come together for the dissemination of technical information that is of specific interest to the plastics product design community.
