Stephen W. Zagarola, President The ZDM Group, LLC
Presentation Date: October 17, 2006, CD ROM
$75.00 (member) $99.00 (nonmember)

Description:
Since the introduction of the first 2-liter one piece PET bottles in Fall River, Massachusetts in the USA in 1978, the PET container’s nemesis has been stress cracking. The lessons we learned are both specific to PET and general to the plastics molding industry. In this e-Live™ presentation you will learn the basic precursors of stress cracking, key objectives in drying, injection and blow and how to optimize and control manufacturing processes to molding to maximize resistance to stress crack failures. The instructor will also discuss the truth about five common industry myths about PET container manufacturing and stress cracking.
