Overview

Purpose & Overview
The objective of this seminar is to provide a detailed introduction to all phases of the profile extrusion process. Since profile extrusion is unique compared with other extrusion processes, the instructor begins with specifying the proper equipment, startup procedures, part design and their ramifications to the final product. The attendee learns about the importance of processing techniques and its effect on profile die design. The attendee receives an in-depth tutorial on die design and various styles of sizing, including calibration. The concepts covered in this seminar will serve as valuable tools for material selection and process optimization. At the end of the seminar, attendees are invited to discuss extrusion processing problems for root cause analysis.

Who Should Attend
This seminar is designed for individuals who want to increase their knowledge of profile extrusion and processing, such as production and product development engineers, setup technicians and R & D personnel. Also, individuals who wish to receive an in-depth introduction in profile design and a better understanding of the processing ramifications on the final product will benefit from this seminar.
