Ampacet’s Gustavo Lidzki Appointed SPE VP at Large

DANBURY, CT—August 10, 2020: Gustavo Lidzki, Vice President, Global Engineering & CI Systems, Ampacet Corporation, was recently named to SPE’s Executive Board as VP at Large. Current SPE President, Jaime Gómez, appointed Lidzki to this position.

“I have known Gustavo since 2011,” said Gómez.  “He has been an enthusiastic SPE supporter and was a key participant in the Events Committee during my term as SPE’s Vice President of Events. With his professional and international experience, I have no doubt that Gustavo will help SPE move forward in the years to come.”

Lidzki’s position as VP at Large started on July 1 and will continue for a period of one year.

ABOUT GUSTAVO LIDZKI

Lidzki initiated his professional career at ICI Paints in Argentina in 1988.  He then worked for ARCOLOR where he served as Business Developer, Inorganic Pigments, and Monsanto Polymers Distribution in Chile. Lidzki founded BIBLOS COLOR SA in Argentina with his family, where he served as Operations Director for 6 years. 

In 1998, he participated in the joint venture agreement that created Ampacet Argentina.  He then became Ampacet’s South America Senior Manager responsible for operations and supply chain from 1998 to 2009. Lidzki was named Ampacet’s Director of Global Sustainability in 2009 and was responsible for working with manufacturing and engineering teams to develop and implement sustainability projects geared towards reducing the carbon footprint and energy usage at the manufacturing sites.

In 2011, Lidzki became Ampacet’s General Manager - Asia, and relocated to Thailand.  In this capacity, he was responsible for all activities for the Asia Regions, including three manufacturing sites in Thailand, China (Shanghai) and India (Pune), as well as sales organizations in Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Australia. As head of the Asia management team, Lidzki was responsible for manufacturing, engineering, sales & marketing, technical, human resources, and finance.

In 2014, Lidzki was promoted to Ampacet’s Vice President, Global Engineering & Assets, and became a member of Ampacet’s Executive Leadership Team. In 2019, he became Ampacet’s Vice President, Global Engineering & CI systems.
