The 1st annual SPE Plastics Winter Olympics was a rousing success. Hundreds of plastics professionals and students from around the world competed in this 4-day event. Contestants were tested on their knowledge in four categories of plastics technologies and an additional category on SPE Trivia.
The “Plastics Professionals” fought a fierce battle, with no one taking the top prize in more than one category. The “Student” competition was more lopsided, with two contestants sweeping all five categories between them. The Maple Leaf Flag is waving proudly, with two of the top student medalists hailing from Canada.
