SPE’s Journal of Vinyl and Additive Technology Announces Call for Papers Focused on PFAS

SPE’s Journal of Vinyl and Additive Technology is seeking papers addressing PFAS. The theme for this special edition is "Tackling Toxicity of PFAS is Changing Additives Landscape in Polymers.” Paper topics of interest include: novel PFAS-free additives; separation and destruction of PFAS; effects of PFAS additives in polymers; processing PFAS-free additives in polymers; and more. Submission deadline: February 15, 2025. Call for papers details can be found here.

PFAS in the Plastics Industry 2024

SPE Honored Service Member Awards Now Accepting Nominations

SPE’s Honored Service Member (HSM) award celebrates individuals who have shown long-term, outstanding service to SPE and its mission to advance the growth and development of plastics professionals for the betterment of society and the planet. This honor recognizes those who have made a lasting impact on SPE and driven positive change in the industry. Application deadline is October 1st. SPE Foundation's Donald McCoy Chicago Scholarship Recipient Announced

Muhammad Ali is the 2024 Donald McCoy Chicago SPE Scholarship recipient, earning a $10,000 award! Muhammad was recognized with a big celebration at Underground Devices, Inc., in Northbrook, IL. This is the third recipient of this impactful award and made possible through the generosity of Underground Devices, Inc., the SPE Chicago Section, and the Chicago SPE Educational Foundation. Michael P. Sepe Memorial Scholarship Campaign Underway

Join us in celebrating the life and career of our colleague, friend, and plastics industry superstar, Mike Sepe. Together with Mike’s close friends and colleagues, we're proud to announce the Michael P. Sepe Memorial Scholarship campaign, with a goal of raising $50,000 by Oct. 1 to establish an endowed scholarship in his honor.
