Overview

Join SPE Southern for an evening learning about advancements in the recycling stream!

First, we will have a presentation by Mr. Larry Logan, CMO, of Digimarc, a leader in product digitization, to discuss their work with digital watermarks revolutionizing the recycling stream. Working with the Digital Watermarks Initiative, Holy Grail 2.0, Digimarc's digitization technology brings a new level of product and materials identification to the recycling stream. The technology will help smart identification of plastics, targeting 99% material detection, and how to sort them from MRF's (Materials Recovery Facilities) in to their appropriate streams for greatly increased recovery yields.

Our second presentation is by Mr. Jeff Gold, Founder/CTO/and COO of Nexus Circular, an Advanced Recycler. Nexus works with recyclers to divert hard-to-recycle plastics from landfills, everything from rigid to film, and converts them into chemical feedstocks for production of new, virgin quality polymers.
