Joint Meeting

SPE Akron Section and Akron Council of Engineering and Scientific Societies (ACESS) will co-host a Technical Recruiting Roundtable. 

This event will be centered around where technical jobs and industries are trending and what will be required, or what has changed in the job search process. This event should be especially beneficial to students and adults in the technical fields that fall under the ACESS umbrella of scientific and engineering societies.

About Speakers

Mike Gerst, Management Recruiters of Akron
Mike has been recruiting professionals for over 19 years in the polymer processing arena. During his tenure, Mike has established relationships with leading companies primarily in the plastic molding, color, rubber mixing and processing sectors. He also specializes in rubber and plastics manufacturing management, engineering and production, with a strength in the rubber industry. Mike operates with a high level of integrity and ethics and offers a deep understanding of the issues and trends affecting the polymer industry

Dave Sevel, Marvel Consultants
Dave has been with Marvel Consultants, Inc. since January, 1980. He has established long-term relationships with numerous Industrial Manufacturers. Dave's forte is in recruiting Engineers from Vice Presidents to staff positions nationwide and has established a significant presence in Ohio. His specialty is with design professionals who typically have degrees in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering or their equivalent. He earned his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University.
