New SPE Southern Europe Regional Interest Group Approved

The SPE Board has approved the establishment of a new Southern Europe Regional Interest Group (RIG), covering Albania, Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Greece, Italy, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Portugal, San Marino, Serbia, Slovenia, Southern France, Spain, Turkey, and Vatican City.

To kick things off, the group will host its inaugural event, "Explore Trends in the Southern Europe Polymers/Plastics Market," on Thursday, January 23, from 8:30–9:30 AM (EST) via Zoom. This session will delve into market trends and highlight upcoming initiatives in the region. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet the group’s leaders.

Looking ahead, the group is already planning exciting future events, including the 2026 Southern European Polyolefins Conference in Barcelona/Tarragona area of Spain.
