Tobias Standau
Chief Engineer
University of Bayreuth
Abstract: Bead foams can be produced by coupling a foam extrusion line with an under-water granulator. However, this is a rather complex process, especially when reactive modifiers are used. This study shows the influence of materials- and processing parameters on the morphology of the foamed beads.
Biography: Tobias Standau studied chemical engineering at University of Applied Sciences in Dresden. Since 2014 he works at the Department of Polymer Engineering at the University of Bayreuth. His research focuses mainly on PLA foam extrusion and bead foaming of engineering polymers. Currently, he is chief engineer at the department.
