Per- and Polyflouroalkyl Substances (PFAS) in the Plastics Industry 2024

About The Conference

Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel
Baltimore, MD

Building on the success of our first edition in 2023, this year's "Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) in the Plastics Industry 2024" promises an even more comprehensive exploration of the challenges and opportunities surrounding PFAS substances. With a focus on technological alternatives to potentially banned substances, the event will delve into various sectors of the plastics industry that heavily rely on fluoropolymers and other PFAS substances, including extrusion products, injection molding products, automotive and aerospace components, medical devices, building materials, electronics, textiles, and more.

The event will showcase emerging PFAS-free alternatives, highlighting the industry's shift towards sustainability. Attendees can expect insights into the regulatory landscape surrounding these substances, along with discussions on the potential technical and economic challenges of implementing bans.

Moreover, the scope of the event extends beyond the fluoropolymer market to include additives and other substances used in the plastics industry that may contain PFAS, such as mold release agents, foam blowing agents, processing aids, anti-stick agents, fire-retardants, and anticorrosive coatings, among others.
